Iowa GOP Thinks Mocking Racism Isn't Serious
The Iowa Republican Party recently posted a flowchart defining racism on its Facebook page. The post, which marked the one-year anniversary of the GOP's pledge to increase its appeal among minority voters, was accompanied by the message, "Because it's Friday night and we don't need serious political posts . . . Happy Friday and SHARE! Unless you think the chart is racist, then don't."
The Iowa GOP quickly removed the posting the same night, and in its place is an apology from Chairman A.J. Spiker (who blames the incident on a contractor) saying, “We apologize to those whom were offended, have removed the post and are ensuring it does not happen again.”
Good luck on expanding your base among minority voters!
