Musk is Trying to Buy Elections Again

Right-wing billionaire Elon Musk continues to exert his influence over the Republican Party, this time with a $10 million donation to a political action committee backing Senate candidate Nate Morris in Kentucky.  Axios reported  that Musk made the donation after meeting with Vice President JD Vance and other senior White House officials in November. The contribution is Musk’s largest ever to a Senate candidate. So far, nine other Republican candidates have declared their candidacy for the seat, which is being vacated by retiring Sen. Mitch McConnell. 

The donation comes at an awkward time for Musk and Morris. Musk’s AI chatbot, Grok, has recently been blocked in several countries after it generated unauthorized sexual images of people—including children. The bot is also under investigation in California.

Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont slammed the donation, highlighting the transaction as a symptom of the corrupting influence of money over politics.  “Are we really living in a democracy when the richest man on earth can spend as much as he wants to elect his candidates?” Sanders wrote on X. “The most important thing our nation can do is end Citizens United and move to public funding of elections. Billionaires can’t be allowed to buy elections.”

Morris is a friend of Vance’s from when they worked together in the venture capital industry. A self-labeled MAGA extremist, Morris once said that he supports a ban on legal immigration until undocumented people residing in the United States are removed.

While Musk’s contribution to President Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign certainly helped him win, Musk’s donations haven’t always translated into success. In 2025, he poured millions into the conservative candidate in the Wisconsin Supreme Court race, but liberal Susan Crawford won.

Musk has announced plans to support other Republican candidates this year—a reversal from his very public fight with Trump in 2025. Musk’s support for the GOP also undermines his own political party, the “America Party,” that he rolled out last year.

But like so many other of Musk’s promises, that has gone absolutely nowhere.

 

Trump Proves to Be Campaign Poison Overseas

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese was returned to power in an election Saturday, the latest left-leaning leader to achieve a comeback victory as President Trump roils global markets and upends international affairs.  Albanese’s Labor Party was projected to win at least 87 seats in the nation’s House of Representatives, defeating the conservative bloc of the Liberal and National parties, which was projected to win at least 40, according to the Australian Broadcasting Corp.

The result was a decisive win for Albanese, whose party expanded its majority in the 150-seat chamber. Before the vote, polls showed Albanese leading, but not by much.  “Our government will choose the Australian way, because we are proud of who we are,” Albanese told a cheering crowd at Labor headquarters. “We do not need to beg or borrow or copy from anywhere else.”

The election is the latest snapshot of how voters are reacting to a shifting world order as President Trump targets countries with tariffs, pivots toward Russia and uses harsh rhetoric about Washington’s traditional allies. Polls show voters in Australia, Canada, and the U.K. view Washington more unfavorably since Trump took office.

Earlier this week, Canadians gave the left-leaning Liberal Party a fourth term in office, even though the party was trailing badly in the polls at the start of the year. Canadians embraced the tough-talking approach of Prime Minister Mark Carney, a former central banker, while shying away from the conservative candidate, Pierre Poilievre, who was viewed as being too similar to Trump.

A similar dynamic has played out in Australia. Albanese was down in the polls at the start of the year, but as the election grew closer, the polls flipped.  Albanese and his main conservative opponent, Peter Dutton, also sparred frequently over who could best negotiate with Trump. 

Dutton, a former police officer and defense minister, seesawed between embracing policies with a Trump-like flair and distancing himself from Trump-style rhetoric. He backtracked or clarified proposals to end working from home and slash the government workforce, two initiatives that have been supported by Trump at home.  Later in the campaign, Dutton leaned into culture-war issues, and said he opposed indigenous land acknowledgments at annual ceremonies meant to honor Australia’s war dead. He also unveiled plans to further boost Australia’s military spending, aligning himself with Trump’s demand that U.S. allies to spend more on their militaries.  But the strategy backfired in a country where Trump is very unpopular. Dutton even lost his own parliamentary seat to the Labor candidate.

What About the Eggs, Donald?

According to a new Department of Agriculture report, egg prices are projected to swell by 41.1% this year due to a bird flu outbreak that continues to devastate flocks. The agency also predicted all food prices would rise 3.4% in 2025. This updated prediction is so alarming because it’s more than double the department’s forecast from just one month ago. As the Daily Kos reported earlier this month, a previous USDA prediction estimated that egg prices could rise by “as much as 20% this year.”

The federal agency noted that retail egg prices were already climbing. In January, retail egg prices surged by 13.8%, following an 8.4% price increase in December.  “Retail egg prices continue to experience volatile month-to-month changes due to an outbreak of [highly pathogenic avian influenza] that began in 2022,” the department said in its report. “HPAI contributes to elevated egg prices by reducing egg-layer flocks and egg production.”

The bird flu outbreak already has some restaurants feeling the pinch. Earlier this month,breakfast chain Waffle House announced a 50-cent surcharge per egg. In addition, major grocery chains like Costco and Trader Joe’s are limiting the number of cartons that customers can buy.

Convicted felon Donald Trump’s administration has unsuccessfully tried to deflect blame for rising prices. At one point, Trump even claimed inflation is “back” but wasn’t his fault. Recently, he spoke about rising egg prices in a strangely distant manner.    “Eggs are a disaster,” he said. “The secretary of agriculture is gonna be showing you a chart that's actually mind-boggling, what's happened, how low they were with us and how high they are now.”

Trump and the GOP focused on rising prices during the campaign, but lowering prices hasn’t been a priority for the party since Trump took office. Instead, the GOP has been hard at work dismantling and defunding the health agencies that could help address the impacts of bird flu. And they’re finding the time to ensure billionaires get even more federal tax breaks. 

Day One of Calling Trump on his Bullshit

It was sunny and 25 degrees in Washington, DC yesterday-- hardly one of the coldest days, but enough for convicted felon Trump to get away with moving the inauguration indoors.  It's widely believed that his advisors were glad for the excuse to avoid pictures showing (what was certainly going to be) below-average attendance on the national mall. Trump even ordered that the Jumbotrons on the mall be turned off-- which is strange, since they were already installed and ready to go, so there was no extra cost to just letting the screens broadcast the (inside) ceremony.  

There were reports of numerous groups of Trump supporters (mostly men) wandering the streets and subways stations looking for places to go or watch the ceremony.  There wasn't enough room in the Capitol rotunda for all the VIP's-- even members of Congress were forced to leave their spouses behind to make room for the tech titans and foreign leaders (which have traditionally never been invited to inauguration).  The downtown arena only held 20,000-- so supporters were forced to watch in bars and or their hotel rooms or standing in the cold outside the arena. Late today, the inauguaral's ratings are downright underwhelming compared to both his own 2017 inauguration and Joe Biden’s in 2021. Trump’s inauguration ratings dipped 27% from Biden’s 2021 viewership and 20% from his first inauguration in 2017. That means that more people watched Beyonce’s Christmas halftime show than the 47th president’s inauguration.

Trump's leaving his supporters in the lurch days before the inauguration is a perfect metaphor for what he has done (repeatedly) in the past (remember the infamous border wall?) and what he will (likely) do this time around.

What Happened to Trump's Claims of Election Fraud?

Before election results came in, Trump was preemptively making claims of “cheating” in order to lay the groundwork for his election challenges had he lost to Vice President Kamala Harris. But miraculously, Donald Trump’s accusations of voter fraud stopped when he was declared the winner.

In two posts on his Truth Social platform, Trump claimed there was fraud in both Philadelphia and Detroit—two heavily Democratic cities in critical swing states.  “A lot of talk about massive CHEATING in Philadelphia. Law Enforcement coming!!!” Trump wrote on Truth Social just before 5 PM ET on Election Day, before the state’s polls had closed.  He followed up with another post, writing, “Philadelphia and Detroit! Heavy Law Enforcement is there!!!”

But now that he won, Trump is silent about voter fraud-- yet more proof that his voter-fraud claims in 2020 were deliberate lies. His claims of fraud were merely a ruse he needed to use in his sore-loser quest to explain away his loss and try to overturn it.

But his lies have had negative consequences.  Aside from helping incite an insurrection that left hundreds of law enforcement officers injured, it also helped make Republican voters distrustful of any results they don’t like.  A Civiqs poll from October found that an overwhelming majority of people who watch Fox News—a right-wing propaganda network that amplifies Trump’s lies—said they were concerned about fraud in the 2024 election.  The poll found that 95% of people who watch Fox News said they were either “somewhat” or “very” concerned about fraud.

But now, just like Trump, those Fox News viewers also appear to be miraculously unconcerned about fraud after Trump was declared the winner. It goes without saying that voter fraud shouldn’t “exist” only when your candidate loses.

The GOP is Making Trump's Slur Against Puerto Rico Even Worse

In the days after Donald Trump’s infamous Nazi rally at Madison Square Garden where a comedian called Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage,” Republicans demanded people “get over” their feelings, claiming that it was just a “joke.” Trump walked around claiming he knew nothing about the comedian, as if he didn't know what was going on at his rallies-- more bullshit from habitual liar.

As a reminder, here’s what MAGA comedian Tony Hinchcliffe said to warm up the crowd of Trump faithful:  “There’s a lot going on. I don’t know if you know this but there’s literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. I think it’s called Puerto Rico.”   Then he kept going:  “And these Latinos, they love making babies too,” Hinchcliffe said. “Just know that. They do. They do. There’s no pulling out. They don’t do that. They come inside. Just like they did to our country.”   The “roast” comedian went on to make racist jokes about Black people, Jews, and Palestinians.

A couple of days later, President Joe Biden said that what Hinchcliffe said was garbage, but MAGA pretended he said all Trump supporters were garbage. Because they are the weirdest people in the world, they decided to walk around wearing trash bags and calling each other trash. They were still doing it the last weekend.  Ironically, Trump and the GOP's lame efforts were only calling further attention to Trump's racism.

Nilsa Vega and Neidel Pacheco of Hellertown, a borough south of Bethlehem, both said they had never voted before, but Hinchcliffe’s remarks were the reason they planned to vote for Harris on Tuesday, reported HuffPost. Pacheco saw Trump’s decision to pose in a garbage truck at a campaign stop in Wisconsin the following day as an additional insult. ‘If he didn’t have nothing to do with it, what’s he doing in the garbage truck?’ Pacheco asked.

By wearing trash bags and talking about garbage and riding around in garbage trucks, these Pennsylvania Latinos think Republicans are doubling down on the insult. And even if Latino voters don’t make that connection, Republicans who continue to talk about garbage are keeping the original story alive.  The fallout is palpable. Here is a report from CNN about Las Vegas Latinos in swing state Nevada, and even Fox News is covering Latino anger in Pennsylvania. 

But who needs anecdotal evidence when we have hard data? A blockbuster Univision/YouGov poll of Pennsylvania Latinos shows just how deeply the garbage scandal damaged the Republican campaign. Among Puerto Ricans in Pennsylvania—a group particularly affected by the remarks made at the rally—71% reported that, even if intended as a joke, these comments suggest that there is racism within the Trump campaign, according to Univision.

Furthermore, 62% of respondents said they considered Trump disrespectful toward Latinos, and half said they would be more likely to vote for Harris because of the comments.  “​​While respect for the Latino community remains a priority, Pennsylvania Latino voters also indicated interest in candidates’ economic agendas,” Univision reported. “However, given a hypothetical choice between a candidate who prioritizes respect for the Latino community and another who emphasizes economic growth without explicitly condemning racism, a majority still leaned toward the candidate who demonstrated respect. This finding suggests that, for many Latino voters, cultural respect is a critical value that influences their political choices alongside economic concerns.”

 

. . . Meanwhile, Trump Closes Out the Campaign With More Whining

Former President Donald Trump and his campaign are closing out the 2024 campaign not with confidence, but with a crap ton of whining about how unfair it is that he’s not being treated as the odds-on favorite.

The bellyaching began Saturday night, when Ann Selzer—an Iowa-based pollster who has been an oracle of sorts in predicting which candidate had the momentum in the final days of the last three elections—released a shock poll finding Vice President Kamala Harris leading Trump in Iowa.

Trump accused Selzer of voter suppression, and said any polls showing him losing should be illegal. 

“It is called suppression. They suppress,” Trump said of the Iowa poll at one of his low-energy rallies on Sunday. “And it actually should be illegal. Because in many ways, it is worse than the written word."

Trump’s campaign also sent out a memo accusing media outlets of trying to suppress the vote by releasing polls showing Trump losing.

CNN also reported that Trump is privately complaining to his close allies about why women don't like him—apparently not understanding that women don’t like it when their freedom to make decisions about their own bodies is taken away from them.

If You Care About the Economy, You Need to Vote for Harris

Billionaire Mark Cuban has argued this week that electing Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris would be better for the economy than another term under GOP nominee Donald Trump. Cuban was responding to Trump's ridiculous claims that he created a great economy during his administration while Harris somehow managed to ruin the economy while serving as vice president.

"You have to look at the root of inflation. I'll tell you exactly when the very first kernel of inflation was set. And that was in April of 2020,” Cuban said. “The gas prices were $1.87. The oil companies went to Donald Trump and said, ‘We are getting crushed with gas prices at $1.87. Please go to Saudi Arabia and your friend MBS [Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud], please go to Russia and your friend Vladimir Putin and ask them to reduce production.’”

“So he had a choice to make: Does he help his oil company cronies or does he help keep gas prices low?” Cuban continued. “You already know what he did. He went to support his oil company cronies, went to MBS and Putin and said, please reduce production. That was the day inflation started. And you can track—minute by minute, hour by hour, month by month, year by year, quarter by quarter,” Cuban explained, saying that the gas prices and inflation rates only began going down when that deal ended in 2022.  “So you can take all you want and blame it on the Biden administration. But it started with Donald Trump."

In April 2020, Trump, did in fact, publicly called on Saudi Arabia and Russia to cut back on their oil production because it was hurting the U.S. oil industry, which represents some of his biggest donors. Later that month, Reuters reported that Trump threatened to cut military support to Saudi Arabia if it didn't reduce production and help out his oil tycoon friends.  Since June 2022, gas prices have dropped from national averages of above $5 per gallon to just over $3. Naturally, this hasn’t stopped Trump from lying and complaining about the economy under President Joe Biden. 

The reality is that the Biden-Harris administration has been able to clean up a lot of the Trump administration’s swampy mess, and while Harris continues to offer up policy ideas to further ease the financial burdens Americans face, Trump has only offered up poorly conceived tariff plans that most economists—and even Trump’s richest backer—say would be ruinous for anyone not making millions of dollars.

This week, the editors of the Economist endorsed Kamala Harris, saying that a second Trump would come with unacceptable risks.  Mark Zandi, Chief Economist of Moody's Analytics, has said that he believes the U.S. economy will perform better and working Americans will fare better if Vice President Harris wins the presidency.

The fact is that the U.S. economy has grown the fastest among major industrial nations since the pandemic began. Our economy has grown twice as fast as Canada’s, three times as fast as France’s and Japan’s, and four times as fast as Britain’s. Under Biden, the average unemployment rate has been lower than under any president since Lyndon Johnson. 

Many economists have warned that Trump's plan to impose tariffs or taxes on all imported goods will send inflation soaring and ignite a dangerous trade war that could cause a recession and throw millions out of work. Economists also warn that Trump’s plans, including his plan to slash taxes on the wealthy and corporations, not only will increase the federal debt by a colossal $7.8tn, but could bankrupt the social security system and lead to a 33% across-the-board cut in social security benefits.

 

GOP is Playing With Healthcare Fire

Republicans have finally revealed their health care plan: repeal the Affordable Care Act. A new video has surfaced of Speaker of the House Mike Johnson saying that Donald Trump, if elected, will kill the Affordable Care Act in the first 100 days, potentially throwing 22 million Americans off their insurance. 

“Health care reform’s going to be a big part of the agenda. When I say we’re going to have a very aggressive first 100 days agenda, we got a lot of things still on the table,” Johnson said during a campaign event in Pennsylvania on Monday, while a life-sized Trump cardboard cutout loomed behind him. The video was first obtained by NBC News.

“No Obamacare,” Johnson continued. “The ACA is so deeply ingrained, we need massive reform to make this work, and we got a lot of ideas on how to do that.”  Johnson waxed poetic about the virtues of the “free market” and “taking bureaucrats out of the health care equation.”  However, the ACA remains overwhelmingly popular, with an April survey from KFF finding that 62% of Americans have a favorable view of the law.  How fast do you think Harris can get this into a TV ad?

Trump's GOP Thinks Racism and Hate Are Funny

Donald Trump wanted his Nazi-style rally at Madison Square Garden, in New York City, the media capital of the world. And then he let out his MAGA movement’s ugly all-out bigotry.  It wa his campaign’s biggest blunder, and it’s a big one. Even Republicans are freaking out.

One of the early speakers let loose with this racist gem: “There’s a lot going on. I don’t know if you know this but there’s literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. I think it’s called Puerto Rico”

Right-wing “comedian” Tony Hinchcliffe literally called Puerto Ricans garbage. And … why? Because they think racism is funny.  What shouldn’t be funny for the Trump campaign is that 3.8% of Pennsylvania’s population—467,000 people—is Puerto Rican. President Joe Biden won the state by only 80,555 votes in 2020.  The stupidity of this “joke” cannot be understated, yet it serves as a stark reminder of just how much Trump republicans hate anyone that isn’t white men like them. 

But other Latinos shouldn’t feel left out. He was just getting started: "And these Latinos, they love making babies too. Just know that. They do. They do. There’s no pulling out. They don’t do that. They come inside. Just like they did to our country." Those evangelicals who sold their souls in service of Trump? Congrats, now they’re on the team making ejaculation jokes at big political rallies.

And heck, if you’re going to go all-out racist, why hold back?  Hinchcliffe also said, “That’s cool, a Black guy with a thing on his head. What the hell is that? A lampshade? …I’m just kidding. That’s one of my buddies. He had a Halloween party last night. We had fun. We carved watermelons together.” 

 

Ron DeSantis Going Out of His Way to Discourage Voters

Florida is voting on a constitutional amendment that would restore a right to abortion in the state, overcoming more than a year of resistance and efforts—including from the office of Gov. Ron DeSantis—to stop voters from directly weighing in on the issue.  Across multiple Republican-controlled states, state officials have waged legal battles and other efforts to thwart abortion rights measures from getting on the ballot or to influence the language. But Florida stands out for how DeSantis is deploying multiple levers of power within his administration to discredit the amendment and even block political speech about it. These efforts amount to the most sweeping and brazen government-funded campaigns opposing an abortion ballot measure this election cycle. 

Trying to stop the measure from getting on the ballot: Florida is one of the rare states where the state Supreme Court must review the language for a proposed constitutional amendment to make sure it’s clear, concise, and pertains to a single subject. Ashley Moody, the state attorney general and a DeSantis ally, argued in briefs and oral arguments before the court that the word “viability” in the ballot measure language was vague and ill-undefined. But Chief Justice Carlos G. Munoz wasn’t convinced, saying in oral arguments: “The people of Florida aren’t stupid. They can figure this out.” On April 1, the high court allowed the measure to appear on the ballot. DeSantis on Tuesday criticized the decision as a mistake.

How Can Anybody in the Military Vote for Someone as Vile and Ignorant as Trump?

The Atlantic has published an incredibly detailed (and fully sourced) expose on the shocking contempt, rage, parsimony, racism Donald Trump has exhibited to toward the military during his years in the public eye.  The story starts in April 2020, when Vanessa Guillén, a 20-year-old Army private, was bludgeoned to death by a fellow soldier at Fort Hood, in Texas. The killer, aided by his girlfriend, burned Guillén’s body. Guillén’s remains were discovered two months later, buried in a riverbank near the base, after a massive search.

Guillén, the daughter of Mexican immigrants, grew up in Houston, and her murder sparked outrage across Texas and beyond. Fort Hood had become known as a particularly perilous assignment for female soldiers.  Shortly after her remains were discovered, Donald Trump invited the Guillén family to the White House. With Guillén’s mother seated beside him, Trump spent 25 minutes with the family as television cameras recorded the scene.

 

Trump maintained a dignified posture and expressed sympathy to Guillén’s mother. “If I can help you out with the funeral, I’ll help—I’ll help you with that,” he said. “I’ll help you out. Financially, I’ll help you.”  Natalie Khawam, the family’s attorney, responded, “I think the military will be paying—taking care of it.” Later, a reporter covering the meeting asked Trump, “Have you offered to do that for other families before?” Trump responded, “I have. I have. Personally. I have to do it personally. I can’t do it through government.” The reporter then asked: “So you’ve written checks to help for other families before this?” Trump turned to the family, still present, and said, “I have, I have, because some families need help … Maybe you don’t need help, from a financial standpoint. I have no idea what—I just think it’s a horrific thing that happened. And if you did need help, I’m going to—I’ll be there to help you.”

A public memorial service was held in Houston two weeks after the White House meeting. It was followed by a private funeral and burial in a local cemetery, attended by, among others, the mayor of Houston and the city’s police chief. Highways were shut down, and mourners lined the streets.

Five months later, the secretary of the Army, Ryan McCarthy, announced the results of an investigation. McCarthy cited numerous “leadership failures” at Fort Hood and relieved or suspended several officers, including the base’s commanding general. In a press conference, McCarthy said that the murder “shocked our conscience” and “forced us to take a critical look at our systems, our policies, and ourselves.”  Trump reportedly was agitated by McCarthy’s comments and raised questions about the severity of the punishments dispensed to senior officers and non-commissioned officers.

In an Oval Office meeting on December 4, 2020, officials gathered to discuss a separate national-security issue. Toward the end of the discussion, Trump asked for an update on the McCarthy investigation. Christopher Miller, the acting secretary of defense was in attendance, along with Miller’s chief of staff, Kash Patel. At a certain point, according to two people present at the meeting, Trump asked, “Did they bill us for the funeral? What did it cost?”  According to attendees, and to contemporaneous notes of the meeting taken by a participant, an aide answered: Yes, we received a bill; the funeral cost $60,000.

Trump became angry. “It doesn’t cost 60,000 bucks to bury a fucking Mexican!” He turned to his chief of staff, Mark Meadows, and issued an order: “Don’t pay it!” Later that day, he was still agitated. “Can you believe it?” he said, according to a witness. “Fucking people, trying to rip me off.”

Khawam, the family attorney, told the Atlantic that she sent the bill to the White House, but no money was ever received by the family from Trump. Some of the costs, Khawam said, were covered by the Army (which offered, she said, to allow Guillén to be buried at Arlington National Cemetery) and some were covered by donations. Ultimately, Guillén was buried in Houston.

Trump is Going off the Deep End

Everybody is saying that the former president’s strange town hall event in Pennsylvania is raising new questions about his health and mental stamina.

The Q&A event was paused when someone in the crowd fainted, then paused again when someone else fainted in the room, which Trump complained was too hot. “Personally, I enjoy this. We lose weight, you know,” Trump joked. “No, you lose weight. We could do this ― lose 4 or 5 pounds.”

After the second person fainted, Trump decided to ditch the Q&A.  “Let’s not do any more questions. Let’s just listen to music,” he said. “Let’s make it into a music fest. Who the hell wants to hear questions, right?”  He called on his audio team to play “a couple of really beauties,” then stayed on stage for 40 or so minutes more, swaying to the songs, mouthing some of the lyrics and occasionally moving his hands to the music. He also offered comments about the music from time to time, such as “great song.”

Trump’s decision to cut off the questions at the town hall comes in the wake of him canceling a “60 Minutes” interview as well as refusing to take part in a second debate with his Democratic rival, Vice President Kamala Harris.

It also comes amid a new focus on his health and cognition due to speeches marked by slurred words, confusion over names and location, and lengthy, rambling digressions.

“I saw decline in his skills in ’20 from ’16,” former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, once a Trump insider before turning into a critic, told New York Times columnist Frank Bruni on Sunday. “And you see significant declines still.”

 

A Healthy Kamala Harris Draws a Sharp Contrast With a Lazy Orange Septuagenarian

Kamala Harris has released her medical records, which show that the Democratic presidential nominee is in “excellent health” and “possesses the physical and mental resiliency” necessary to serve as president, her doctor said in a letter, external.

Harris's most recent physical exam was in April.  Dr Simmons, a US Army colonel and physician to the vice-president, categorized the visit as "unremarkable", noting that her blood pressure and heart rate were within normal range.  Her cardiac exam, abdominal exam and skin exam were all "normal", Dr Simmons said. Harris has no personal history of diabetes, blood pressure, high cholesterol or cardiac disease.  She does have a family history "notable" for colon cancer on her mother's side of the family-- but Harris is up to date on all preventative care recommendations, including a colonoscopy. 

On the other hand, Donal Trump has NEVER released any comprehensive medical records.  If elected next month, Trump would be the OLDEST PRESIDENT EVER by the time he completed his term.  

Trump told CBS in August that in his most recent medical exam the doctor had given him a "perfect score".  No one know what that means, since there is no such thing as a "score" (much less a "perfect" one) in medical exams. In 2015, Trump published a letter from his doctor (Harold Bornstein) who said Trump would be "the healthiest person ever elected to the presidency".  A few years later, Bornstein was forced to admit said Trump had dictated the contents of the letter and that three of Trump's agents had seized his medical records in a February 2017 raid on the doctor's office. 

In 2018, White House physician Dr Ronny Jackson told reporters Trump was in "excellent health". Dr Jackson said at the time that Trump's heart exam, cardiac exam, and head, ears, nose and throat exam were all normal. At the time, Trump was taking a range of prescription and over-the-counter drugs, which included Crestor to lower cholesterol; aspirin for cardiac health; Propecia for prevention of hair loss; and Soolantra ointment for Rosacea, an inflammatory skin condition.

Trump has admitted he sleeps only about four or five hours a night. He has called golfing his "primary form of exercise" but usually talks a golf cart (instead of walking the course).  Trump considers exercise a waste of energy because he believes the body is "like a battery, with a finite amount of energy", which is depleted by exercise.  Of course, this assertion is ridiculous, as energy in the human body is replenished on a continual basis by the consumption of food and drink. 

Since a would-be assassin’s bullet grazed Trump in July, Trump's campaign has not granted reporters access to his hospital records or the emergency physicians who treated him.  A campaign spokesman said today that Trump has "an extremely busy and active campaign schedule unlike any other in political history".  He claimed that Kamala Harris is "unable to keep up with the demands of campaigning" and that "her schedule is much lighter because, it is said, she does not have the stamina of President Trump."

Of course, this is just more bullshit.  The fact is that Trump held 72 rallies between June and September of 2016. He's held 24 in that same period this year.  Trump held 69 rallies in October and early November of 2016, taking the stage as many as five times per day in the stretch run. Trump held 43 rallies over the five weeks leading up to Election Day in 2020.  This campaign cycle, Trump is primarily relying on cable TV  appearances and podcasts, often made from his home in Florida.
