Acid Trip Results in no U.S. Trip

Here's just the latest example of Bush "making the world safe from terror". While thousands of illegal immigrants, real criminals and potential terrorists stream across the Mexican border, we can still sleep safely knowing that a 66-year-old professor has now been barred entry into the U.S. forever for using LSD almost 40 years ago.

According to the immigration law handbook, any person with AIDS, tuberculosis, infectious diseases is inadmissible to the U.S. The "infamous" section IV of the handbook states that "anyone who is determined to be a drug abuser or user is inadmissible." The regulations go even further, stating that a crime involving moral turpitude is inadmissible.

So now we're getting into morality? I don't know if I want the current regime making decisions about morality. If I watched Justin Timberlake bare Janet Jackson's breast on TV and enjoyed it, could I be denied entry to the U.S.?

If using narcotics is grounds for being barred from visiting the U.S., then why wouldn't using cocaine bar you from being President of the United States?
