It's no wonder that Sarah Palin is banning all media coverage of her recent speaking engagements. Instead of growing in political stature or enhancing her statesmanship, "Cut and Run" Palin continues to make headlines for her moronic and naive tweets/comments. In a poorly received speech last Friday at a Wisconsion Right-to-Life fundraising event (where she made frequent use of the words "bogus" and "awesome" to describe otherwise weighty topics) she also went off-topic about the dollar coin.
Noting that there had been a lot of “change” of late, Palin recalled a recent conversation with a friend about how the phrase “In God We Trust” had been moved to the edge of the new coins.
“Who calls a shot like that?” she demanded. “Who makes a decision like that? It’s a disturbing trend.”
Uhhh, Sarah-- the phrase "In God We Trust" was moved to the edge of the dollar coin as a result of the Presidential $1 Coin Act of 2005-- legislation introduced by a Republican Senator, passed by a Republican-controlled Congress, and signed by George W. Bush.
How totally bogus is that? But totally awesome at the same time!
