Obama FCC Chair To Deal With Digital Transition
President Obama has nominated Julius Genachowski for chairman of the Federal Communications Commission. Genachowski is taking over an agency that has had rocky relations with Congress and the telecommunications industry under the Bush administration's FCC Chairman Kevin Martin. The agency is also dealing with the botched transition to digital-only television, which had been scheduled to take place Feb. 17-- but has now been pushed back to the summer.
